Cookie Policy

Learn how we use cookies to enhance your streaming experience.

What are cookies?

Cookies and similar technologies are very small text documents or pieces of code that often contain a unique identification code. When you visit a website or use a mobile application, a computer asks your computer or mobile device for permission to save this file on your computer or mobile device and gain access to information. Information collected through cookies and similar technologies may include the date and time of the visit and how you use a particular website or mobile application.

Why do we use cookies?

Cookies make sure that during your visit to our website and application you remain logged in, your session stays secure, and the service functions correctly. The cookies also ensure that we can see how our website is used and how we can improve it. Furthermore, depending on your preferences our own cookies may be used to measure and personalize marketing campaigns where you have given your consent. In addition, cookies may be used to identify whether you have visited our website via a referral or affiliate link, so that commissions can be correctly attributed to our partners. These cookies are only used where you have given your consent.

What type of cookies do we use?

This section applies to both our Website (onestream.live) and our WebApp (app.onestream.live). We use cookies together with LocalStorage and SessionStorage to provide services and remember your preferences. Below are the categories and how they behave across Website and WebApp.

Necessary cookies

These cookies are always enabled. These are required for core operation and consent, including but not limited to:

  • Geo and preferences (Website/WebApp): country and currency used to show correct pricing and availability; a short-lived lookup cache reduces repeated checks.
  • Consent record (Website/WebApp): your choices for Necessary/Functional/Analytics/Marketing.
  • Language and login continuity (Website): language preferences and secure session continuity.
  • App session (WebApp): basic session identifiers for support and feature availability.
  • In-app support (WebApp): loads the support widget and can associate with your logged-in session; no marketing identifiers are used.
  • Feature flags (WebApp): core feature toggles used by the application UI; denying Functional disables non-essential banners/features.

Performance cookies

These measure anonymous usage and help improve reliability and speed. Analytics only run when the Analytics category is granted.

  • Website: Analytics tools initialize only after consent. If you deny or withdraw consent, analytics stop and previously set analytics identifiers are removed. In contexts where consent is required before analytics can start, analytics remain off until you actively enable them.
  • WebApp: The app uses a separate analytics container. It loads only after consent and is disabled when consent is denied or withdrawn. We do not use cross‑site tracking or third-party advertising identifiers in the app.

Functional cookies

These enable helpful features and a consistent experience.

  • Website:
  • Visitor consistency: a non-identifiable visitor identifier keeps experiments/features consistent.
  • Campaign context: referral/campaign parameters are stored for correct attribution.
  • Safe referral capture: referral IDs may be temporarily recorded pre-consent to survive navigation.
  • Customer support: our support chat loads when allowed and, if you are logged in, can associate with your session.
  • Feature flags: non-essential feature toggles (including campaign banners) load with consent.
  • WebApp:
  • In-app promotions: the app may show discount or promotional campaigns. These are part of app functionality and do not use advertising pixels or cross‑site tracking; visibility can depend on your consent and feature flags.
  • Affiliate tracking: the WebApp does not load third-party affiliate scripts; where consented, attribution occurs server-side on signup/sale.

Advertising / tracking cookies

These are used by advertising partners for retargeting and campaign measurement.

  • Website: when you allow Marketing, advertising pixels may be fired via our tag manager for personalization and measurement.
  • WebApp: we do not run advertising pixels inside the application. The app may show in‑app promotions or discounts, which are not advertising cookies and do not track you across other sites.

Unclassified

These cookies are temporarily unclassified while we complete technical assessment. They will be assigned to Necessary, Performance, Functional, or Advertising categories and handled according to your consent choices.

How can I switch off or remove cookies?

You can choose to opt out of all but the necessary cookies. In the settings of the browser, you can change the settings to ensure that cookies will be blocked. Most browsers provide you with an explanation on how to do this in the so-called ‘help-function’. However, if you block the cookies, it is possible that you will not be able to enjoy all the technical features our website has to offer and it may negatively affect your user experience. You’re always in control.
