News Update: Version 8.0.14 Release

The latest OneStream Live update (v8.0.14) brings an important change to how our users log in. As of this release, Facebook and Twitch login options have been completely removed from the platform. This move is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance account security and provide a more reliable experience for all OneStream Live streamers.

Social Logins Fully Deprecated

Starting December 1, 2025, OneStream Live no longer supports signing in via Facebook or Twitch accounts. These third-party social login methods have been officially retired in Version 8.0.14. If you previously used Facebook or Twitch to access OneStream Live, you will now need to log in with your email address and password.

We began preparing for this change well in advance. Beginning in August 2025, users who have previously logged in with Facebook or Twitch were prompted to create a OneStream Live password for their accounts. Multiple reminders were issued over the past couple of months to ensure a smooth transition for everyone. Now that the deadline has passed, the Facebook and Twitch login buttons have been removed, and email-based login is the only way to access your OneStream Live account.

Strengthening Security and Stability

While social logins were convenient, we made this change to reinforce security and long-term stability. Relying on external platforms for authentication can introduce vulnerabilities and unforeseen issues. This shift away from third-party logins ultimately makes things safer and more stable for everyone.

This approach closes potential security loopholes and simplifies user support. In practical terms, fewer points of failure mean a lower risk of unauthorized access, and we avoid dependence on social networks for account login. It also helps ensure OneStream Live will remain a platform you can count on for years to come. Our goal is to protect your account and content with a robust, dedicated login system that we manage directly.

Next Steps for Users

For most users, no action is required beyond using your OneStream Live email and password to sign in as usual. If you already switched to an email login, you are all set. For those streamers who have not yet set up an email-based login (for example, if you only ever used Facebook or Twitch to sign in), please set up your email login as soon as possible. You have two options to do this:

  • Reset your password using the email address associated with your OneStream Live account. This will allow you to create a new password for direct login.
  • Contact our support team for one-on-one assistance with setting up your email login.

Our support team is ready to help anyone who needs guidance during this transition. We are committed to ensuring that no user loses access to their account. If you encounter any issues or have questions about the new login process, reach out to us via technical support so we can assist you promptly.

In addition to the login changes, Version 8.0.14 includes general improvements and bug fixes to keep the platform running smoothly. We continuously refine OneStream Live to enhance your streaming workflow and overall experience.

This update prioritizes the security of your data and the stability of our platform. Thank you for understanding and cooperating with these changes. OneStream Live remains dedicated to delivering a secure, reliable, and user-friendly live streaming experience for our community.
